About Bookmint

Professional publishing, for everyone.

For five hundred years, making a proper book took a press, a typesetter, and a designer. We think it should take a good idea and an evening.

The story

Bookmint started with a rejected file. One of us watched his mother — a retired teacher with a finished puzzle book — give up on publishing after Amazon's third margin error. The book was good. The gutter was 0.05" too small. Nobody should lose a book over a sixteenth of an inch.

So we built the boring parts: margins that are always right, spines that always fit, fonts that always embed. Then the interesting parts: an AI that writes and illustrates alongside you, a character sheet that keeps kids' heroes consistent, research that tells you honestly whether a niche has room.

The press is ours. The books — every file, every royalty — are yours.

Today Bookmint is a small team of print nerds, typographers, and engineers. We measure ourselves one way: books that pass KDP on the first upload, made by people who'd never published before.

What we hold ourselves to

Plain words

Fifth-grade sentences, even in the legal pages. If you can't understand it, we rewrote it wrong.

Honest numbers

Sales estimates are labeled estimates. Nobody outside Amazon has exact data — including us.

Your files, yours

Full commercial rights on every plan. Cancel and keep everything. We take zero royalties, ever.

Books first

AI is the tool, not the point. If a page wouldn't pass a real press's quality check, it doesn't ship.
